There is hardly anything more challenging than striking a balanced compromise between diverging interests. On the one hand, the dough should be processed with great care. On the other hand, highest weight accuracy demands must be met throughout the entire production process. With the new Industrie Rex AW (ACCURATE WEIGHT), Koenig has managed to find the perfect solution for this tricky task to the satisfaction of its customers. The sophisticated technology of the newly developed dividing and rounding system allows for an ideal balance between weight accuracy and gentle dough processing as well as maximum capacity.
- the dough dividing and rounding machine Industrie Rex AW is operating in up to 10 rows and has a maximum weight range of 22-150g. The newly developed dividing and rounding system and continuously adjustable, absolutely even pusher pressure ensure highest weight accuracy with all types of dough
- max. hourly capacity: approx. 30,000 pieces with 50 strokes/min in the 10-row version
- change of the weight range through manually exchangeable dividing ledges and piston tools according to the Multi system
- exact dividing process through “stop and go” operation and specially shaped pre-chamber
- inner rounding drum with automatically adjustable rounding eccentric
- transfer belts between dividing drum and rounding drum can be folded up on both sides for easy cleaning
- drive of the transfer belts through cardan joint drive drums for maximum protection of the belt
- enlarged rounding drum for longer and thus more intense rounding of all doughs
- discharge spreading finger belt with cardan joint drive to avoid belt slippage
- main drives are encapsulated and completely separated from the dough area
- easy maintenance through large, removable maintenance doors
- ground clearance of 300 mm throughout for easy cleaning under the machine
- generous integrated shelves for machine accessories
For highest demands we offers the proven Industrie Rex AW in a further improved hygienic design “H as Industrie Rex AW-H.
The hygienic design of the Industrie Rex AW-H is characterized by the following features:
- easy cleaning with stainless steel surfaces
- large, removable maintenance doors
- lightweight retractable drawers integrated in machine frame
- main drives are encapsulated and completely separated from the dough area

The dough is filled into the roller hopper.
Rotating star rollers cut the dough into suitable portions which are then conveyed into the dividing area.
The horizontally moving slider presses the dough into the opening of the dividing drumThe slider pressure can be electronically adjusted. In the lowest drum position, the weight range can be changed through exchangeable drum ledges.
After an anti-clockwise rotation by 180°, the dough pieces are discharged to the intermediate belt. – This step is particularly important as it allows the dough to rest before rounding. The transfer belt can be folded up on both sides for easy maintenance and cleaning.
The dough pieces are subsequently rounded with an oscillating rounding drum. The size and type of the rounding drum are determined by the dough consistency and weight. The rounding unit is equipped with a switchable eccentric.
In the bottom most position, the dough pieces are transferred onto the spreading finger belt. This system enables the reconciliation of the greatest hourly capacities with the most gentle processing possible of the dough. This dividing and rounding principle invented by Koenig also permits the processing of unusually high dough yields; rounding pressure and rounding intensity are geared to the recipe: from almost non-pressurised to extremely high.
